Election Overview

  • California is holding a Statewide Special Election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
  • The California Legislature called this election through legislation proposing a constitutional amendment that was then signed into law by the Governor.

State Measure 50

  • What it is: A constitutional amendment allowing temporary changes to California's congressional district boundaries through 2030.
  • What it means for voters: If passed, some voters may be assigned to a different U.S. House district in future elections (including 2026).
  • What it does not do: It does not change voter eligibility, registration, or voting options.

Vote Centers provide modern features to make voting safe, easy, and convenient. Vote Centers also serve as a Vote by Mail Ballot Drop Box location – no need to wait, simply drop off your voted ballot at the front.

Voter Registration for Those Impacted by the Wildfires

If you've been temporarily displaced by the recent wildfires, you do not need to change your voter registration. You can continue to use your permanent residential (home) address and add a temporary mailing address to receive your voting materials while away from home.
