Make A Public Records Act Request

If you believe the information you are requesting falls under the California Public Records Act, requests can be made in one of two ways:

The following items are NOT Public Records Act Requests:

  • Birth, death, and marriage records
  • Real estate records
  • Fictitious business name records
  • Military discharge records
  • UCC financing statement records
  • Notary records
  • Voter registration information
  • Voter turnout
  • Election statistics/reports
  • Precinct maps
  • Campaign finance records
  • Tax lien records

All records listed above may be purchased through normal course of business services provided by the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk.
