About Proposition B (Los Angeles County Code Section 2.190)
The County of Los Angeles has adopted an ordinance known as Proposition B, which regulates campaign contributions to candidates for elective County offices. Proposition B applies to candidates running for offices of Assessor, District Attorney, Sheriff and members of the Board of Supervisors.

What Campaign Finance Information is Available?
Campaign finance information for election years since 2004 is available for research on this site for the following: the Board of Supervisors, Sheriff, Assessor, District Attorney and their controlled committees, county candidates/officeholders and their controlled committees, as well as committees supporting or opposing county measures.
Campaign statements for non-countywide offices are available by hard copy at the Norwalk main office on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

Information on this site is searchable by election, candidate/officeholder, committee name and measure. Data forms 460 from 2006 to the present are available.

Intra-Candidate Transfer
What is a controlled committee?
A committee that is controlled directly or indirectly by a candidate in connection with the making of expenditures.
May I transfer funds between controlled committees?
Yes, transfer of funds between controlled committees of a single candidate, or an intra-candidate transfer, is allowed, but is subject to contribution limits and accounting requirements. CC 2.190.080
Do contribution limits apply to intra-candidate transfers, which may include funds from political action committees?
Yes, contribution limits under CC 2.190.040.A and 2.190.040.B apply.
